How it works
Remove BG uses the RMBG-1.4 model from BRIA AI through Transformers.js. The model is loaded in a Web Worker so the interface stays responsive while processing. On supported devices, it can use WebGPU for faster inference, with a CPU/WASM fallback when needed.
The first run downloads the model once, then your browser caches it. After that, the app can load much faster and continue working offline once the required files are already available locally.
